Southdown Aero Services Ltd is a UK-based company specialising in composite and metallic structural repairs and exchanges. Celebrating over 60 years in the aerospace industry, we have built a reputation as one of Europe’s most reliable and trusted independent structural repair shops.
Established in 1957, previously the company has made significant contributions to the gliding and light aircraft sectors, completing over 18,000 projects in the sector. 
Southdown Aero Services has also participated in producing historical documentaries for ITV and Channel 4, including the 1970 film "Caley" and the documentary "Colditz’’ in 2000.
In the 1960s, the company served as the chief engineer for the fleet featured in the movie ‘’The Blue Max’’, starring George Peppard and Ursula Andress. 
During the early 2000s, Southdown Aero Services expanded its involvement in the motorsport arena, collaborating with teams participating in WRC, Formula 1, and Le Mans. During this period, Southdown Aero Services also expanded its involvement in the marine and space sectors.
Today, our services include comprehensive structural support through workshop-based repairs, global on-wing AOG (Aircraft on Ground) repair services, and exchanges from our ever-expanding inventory of parts.
Our two workshops, located in the South of the UK, are equipped with composite repair technologies. This includes two autoclaves, a large 5 axis CNC machine, 4 daylight platen press, and a spray booth, allowing us to undertake even the most complex repairs, including out-of-scope projects, backed by Airbus and Boeing-approved repair schemes. 

Furthermore, Southdown Aero Services holds EASA and CAA Part 21G and AS9100 approvals, underscoring our commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.
Southdown Aero Services remains committed to keeping pace with technological advancements and implementing innovations across its operations. Today, the company focuses primarily on the commercial aircraft industry which now represents 95% of its business, along with the rapidly growing military drone sector.
